Themed Juried Exhibition Paying Tribute to the Mind’s Creativity
If you ever wanted to express what was in your mind, this is a great venue to do so. The entry fee is $35 and includes the mannequin head which can be altered to express your thoughts both with a face or without.

ELIGIBILITY:
Open to all artists 16+ residing in Okeechobee, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Brevard Counties.
EXHIBITION SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Open to artists working in all media.
2. Original work must be created on one of the mannequin heads provided by the Fort Pierce Art Club, Inc. included with the non-refundable entry fee. Other mannequins must be approved by the show curator prior to creation and are subject to the entry fee.
3. Works will be judged on craftsmanship as well as use of the mannequins based on the theme in a tasteful, original manner. No eroticism or graphic violence will be considered.
4. Finished pieces should be no more than 30” wide. Additional height and length is acceptable.
5. Submission forms will be provided to artists when they pick up their mannequin.
6. Pick up mannequins from Jeanne Johansen, 2732 Sunrise Blvd, Fort Pierce, FL. 34982 or call her to make arrangements: 772-579-1529.
7. Payment of entry fee is due at that time of picking up the mannequin.
8. Labels will be provided at the time of picking up your mannequin(s). All information must be completed: your name, the work’s title, and price.
9. A brief artist statement for the piece should also be included.
10. Mannequins should be priced to sell.
11. If the work is not for sale, please include value designation for insurance and indicate NFS (not for sale).
12. Non-refundable entry fee of $35 per piece includes choice of mannequin head style.
13. Space for accepted work is limited; not all entries will be accepted to show.
14. Artists may submit more than one piece.
SUBMISSION AND DELIVERY OF ORIGINAL WORK:
1. All work must be finished and completely dried.
2. The mannequins must be able to sit on a table. Artists are allowed to create their own stands for their head.
3. All work must be ready to display and must be manageable by one person. Weight limit: 20 lbs.
4. Hand-deliver finished artwork and label to the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance, 500 Orange Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34950 on August 15 & 16 from 11 AM to 4 PM
5. Submission does not guarantee that all work will be accepted to show. Work not selected to show must be picked up on Wednesday, August 17, by 4 PM. Artists will be notified.
6. There will be a $10 late entry fee for submission delivered after 4 PM on August 17.
SELECTION AND AWARDS:
1. The Selection Committee comprised of professional Museum staff and the Show Curator will choose the work to show after the deliveries have been made.
2. Notification of selection will be emailed to all entrants the Committee has concluded selection the evening of Saturday, December 7th, and posted on the FPAC Facebook Page and websites.
3. Non-monetary Awards will be given at the jurors’ discretion for First, Second, and Third place and three Honorable Mentions. The decisions of the jurors are final.
4. Awards will be given and announced during the Reception and posted on www.fortpierceartclub.org and on the Fort Pierce Art Club Facebook Page.
SALES:
1. The Fort Pierce Art Club will handle all sales, collect, and pay sales tax, and absorb credit card fees, and retain a commission of 20% of any and all sales.
2. The Fort Pierce Art Club will arrange for patrons to pick up their pieces at the conclusion of the show.
3. Payment for sold works will be made within 10 days of the patron taking possession of their purchases.
4. Artists whose work sells will be required to provide a W9 (as required by the IRS) before they are paid, and will receive a 1099 for their taxes for any purchases over $600.
5. Pick-up of unsold artwork at conclusion of exhibit on Saturday, August 29 between 11 and 4:00 pm.
