Fort Pierce Art Club Board Meeting Minutes
Date: Thursday, January 9, 2025 Time: 8:09 PM
1. Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 8:09 PM.
2. Attendance - The following individuals were present: Gene Kinnamon, Jeanne Johansen, Melanie Stanton, Blanca Longo Rancourt, Nicole Robb, Lucia Reyes. Missing Laura Kinnamon, Tina Floyd & Rodger Stone
3. Approval of Minutes - The minutes from the September meeting were approved without corrections.
4. Treasurer's Report - Jeannie Johansen provided the Treasurer's report for both accounts, including a detailed list of all checks written since October. Ending. 2024

- MMM Report - Checks to Schools with Photos:
The final numbers for this initiative have not been compiled due to the absence of the Treasurer. A motion was proposed to donate $500 to each of the following schools: Lindsay School of the Arts, Allapattah Flats K-8, Port St. Lucie, and Tradition Preparatory School. - The motion was made by Gene Kinnamon, seconded by Blanca Longo Rancourt, and passed.
- End-of-Year Discussion:
The board reviewed last year's activities, discussing successes and areas for improvement. It was The application right now.decided that the club will focus on its membership in 2025 and defer further activities related to Edwin Binney and Crayola Crayons for another year.
- January 11th - St. Lucie Historical Museum Festival:
Jeanne Johansen stated that she will attend the Treasure Coast History Festival on Saturday and decorate the display with art created for the parade. She also noted that the museum accepted the crayons created by Gene Kinnamon. - January 15th - Club Meeting:
The board discussed the upcoming membership meeting and decided to focus on creating vision boards as the main activity. - Consent Agreement to Pay Outstanding Bills:
- The board approved payment to Laura Kinnamon for supplies used in the parade. A motion was made by Gene Kinnamon, seconded by Blanca Longo Rancourt, and passed unanimously.
- Payment to Jeanne Johansen will be processed once an itemized bill is submitted per board requirements.
The following items were discussed and tabled for later this month:
- Planning for 2025 meetings and committees
- 2025 budget
- Revisions to the club's mission statement
- Review of the club's bylaws
